Hardwood Flooring

What types of hardwood flooring do you install?

We offer both solid and engineered hardwood, available in oak, maple, walnut, hickory, and other species. Our products are selected for durability in mountain climates and radiant-heat compatibility.

Is hardwood flooring suitable for high-altitude homes?

Yes. We acclimate all wood flooring before installation to prevent issues caused by altitude and humidity changes—ensuring long-lasting stability and beauty.

What’s the difference between solid hardwood and engineered hardwood?

Solid hardwood is made from a single piece of wood, offering timeless authenticity and the ability to be refinished multiple times. Engineered hardwood, on the other hand, features a real wood veneer over layered cores, providing enhanced stability and moisture resistance — ideal for Colorado’s fluctuating climate.

Do you offer custom design consultations?

Yes. Our in-house design team helps you choose the right wood tones, finishes, and plank widths that complement your home’s architecture and style.

Do you offer custom stair treads or trim for hardwood floors?

Yes. We offer custom stair treads, transitions, and trim pieces designed to perfectly match or complement your hardwood flooring. Our team ensures a seamless, cohesive look throughout your home — from open floor areas to stairs and landings.

Laminate Flooring

Why choose laminate flooring?

Laminate flooring offers the look of real hardwood at a lower cost and is resistant to scratches, stains, and fading—making it ideal for family homes, rentals, and high-traffic spaces.

Can laminate flooring handle moisture?

Many of our modern laminate products are water-resistant, making them suitable for basements, kitchens, and other moisture-prone areas.

How does laminate differ from vinyl flooring?

Yes. Aspen Carpet & Floors provides professional laminate installation, including subfloor preparation, floating-floor systems, and trim finishing for a seamless look.

What styles of laminate are popular in Colorado homes?

Wide plank laminate with light oak or gray tones is trending, giving the look of hardwood at a lower cost.

Tile Flooring

What types of tile flooring do you offer?

We provide ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tile, available in a variety of shapes, finishes, and colors—perfect for kitchens, bathrooms, and entryways.

Is tile flooring compatible with radiant heating systems?

Yes. Tile and stone are excellent for radiant heat installations, keeping floors warm during Colorado’s colder months.

Can tile be used for walls and backsplashes too?

Absolutely. We design and install floor-to-ceiling tile applications, including backsplashes, shower walls, and fireplaces for cohesive interior styling.

Do you provide grout sealing or maintenance?

Yes. We offer grout sealing to prevent staining and moisture absorption and can recommend safe, neutral-pH cleaning products for ongoing maintenance.

What are the benefits of tile for mountain homes?

Tile is durable, moisture-resistant, and temperature-stable, making it ideal for mudrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens in Colorado’s varying climate.

Luxury Vinyl Flooring

What’s the difference between vinyl and luxury vinyl flooring?

Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) and Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) mimic wood or stone using high-definition imaging and embossed textures. They’re thicker, more realistic, and more durable than traditional sheet vinyl.

Is luxury vinyl waterproof?

Yes, LVP and LVT are 100% waterproof, making them ideal for basements, bathrooms, and kitchens where spills or humidity are common.

Can luxury vinyl flooring be used in commercial properties?

Definitely. Many local businesses and resorts in Aspen and Basalt choose luxury vinyl for its durability, easy maintenance, and upscale appearance.

Is vinyl flooring suitable for radiant heat systems?

Yes. Many LVP and LVT products are compatible with radiant heating, offering both warmth and water resistance in mountain environments.

Do you install luxury vinyl flooring?

Yes. Our team provides professional installation for floating or glue-down systems, ensuring lasting results with proper subfloor preparation.
